I have purchased this app and would like to reformat my phone. I have click back up on my phone for this app. Would like to know how do i retrieve my data after reformatting?
ReplyDeleteDear chinghou80, when you choose to backup, the database is saved in the folder AllowancesExpenses (external card) under the name of "trips", so just save this file somewhere when you can keep it after formatting yout device. After reinstalling the app, move back again this file to the AllowanceExpenses folder, and open the application and just restore backup.

ReplyDeleteI have bought this program today and it's exactly what I was looking for. But there's one field missing which is very important to me, it's the Mean of payment (Credit card, cash, cheque...) so I could do some analytic analysis using CSV export on Excel (If this field would be exported of course...). Tks

Hola David, no existe ninguna sincronización 'online' entre diferentes dispositivos. Si dispone de la versión completa, puede hacer un backup de los viajes a(esto dejará un archivo con nombre 'trips' en la carpeta 'AllowancesExpenses' de la tarjeta de memoria). Copie el archivo a la misma carpeta en su tableta y seleccione la opcion restaurar backup para importar los viajes a su tableta. Esperemos poder ofrecer pronto la posibilidad de sincronización online.

Nice sharing i also want to share some information about that application. Travel Money tracks your expenses and manages the spendings of a group of people. It is especially useful while travelling and using different currencies.It tells you how much each person owns or owes other people in the group. It supports exchange rate conversion on the fly, online sharing and detailed statistics.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you Ashwin aj, travel money tracks really help full for all peoples who get tours in daily basis. It also shows the all images of that way in which we spend our money. Money tracks save all details that we enter into this software. I personally use it during my bus tours Las Vegas grand canyon. I got with this great experience.

When I export data, the characters are changed. I write on brazilian portuguese and use "áçã" and others characters, but the csv file contain "Cartão de crédito" when I wrote "Cartão de crédito".

How do I send myself the receipt images I have taken for each trip? I've been collecting pictures of each receipt but now have to submit them for my work expenses so I need to e-mail them or print them to attach to my expense report. I can access them through a file manager app on my phone but they are not organized by trip so doesn't work very well.

Deleteunfortunately there is no way right now to get the pictures but from the file manager or via usb with the pc. But this is a priority feature I will include in next version, so it will be possible to attach trip pictures along the exported csv.

A new version of the application has been released in the Play Store with the ability to attach all expenses images of a trip when exporting and sending it trhough email.

In the full version of the application, you can export a trip (long press on a trip to get the options) generating an email with an CSV with the trip information and all the images attached to the trip expenses.

I think I meant it the other way, but I guess I didn't express myself well enough.
Suppose I have a confirmation mail of a car rental period, or a flight ticket. This represents travel expenses. Obviously, I can add this in the app manually, but what if I could send it to an email address, let's say expenses@travelexpenses.com?
Based on my sender's email address, you could know that these expenses are for (one of) my trip(s). You could add it to the active trip, or park it so I can decide myself for which trip it is. It avoids making mistakes and obviously also makes adding expenses even easier than it already is.
It could also work with receipts, invoices, pictures, etc.
